This policy explains how FreshStack ("the App") handles information collected when you use its features.

Information We Collect

• Camera images. When you use the capture feature, the App takes a photo of your item or expiry label.
• Inventory data. The product name, expiry date, and quantity are stored locally on your device so you can manage your fridge inventory.

The App does not intentionally collect your location or any other personal information.

How We Use Your Information

Uploaded images are processed by the backend server solely to extract product information. The server may use third‑party services such as the OpenAI API to perform this analysis. The resulting data is only used inside the App to help you track your groceries.

Data Retention

Captured images remain on your device only while an item is being added.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or share your personal data. Images are transmitted only for AI recognition and not stored.
